Additional Property Attributes

On September 30, 2024, Stantec, observed approximately 20-linear feet in length of the pipe that was exposed; however, the length of the transite pipe appears to run the length of the Town of Eagar. The approximately 20-square feet of exposed transite pipe appeared in fair condition and non-friable. The condition and friability of the remaining portion of the buried Transite pipe is unknown. Discussion with Ms. Reynold and other town personnel indicate the previous occurrence of several leaks and that the town intends to replace the pipe. Limited Asbestos Survey Recommendations: Based on the findings of this survey, ACMs were identified in the Town of Eagar pipe. The DOSH requires employers to implement specific work practices, which protect workers from airborne asbestos exposure, when materials are found to contain detectable concentrations of asbestos. Building materials, which contain even low levels of asbestos (trace amounts), can potentially generate concentrations of airborne asbestos fibers when disturbed. Therefore, control measures should be instituted by those disturbing ACMs which adequately address worker health and safety during planned renovation or demolition activities involving these materials. It is recommended that ACMs be removed by a licensed abatement contractor prior to renovation, refurbishing, or demolition activities.
