Additional Property Attributes

Further Site Investigation (03/14/2025) Additional groundwater sampling efforts were completed by SME to satisfy IDEM?s requirements for site characterization. Concentrations of benzene and naphthalene were measured above their respective IDEM R2 published levels in the groundwater sample collected from MW-1, as well as the duplicate sample. No other VOCs were measured in concentrations above published levels in the groundwater samples collected. Concentrations of naphthalene was measured above the respective IDEM R2 published levels in the groundwater samples collected from MW-1, as well as the duplicate sample. No other PAHs were measured in concentrations above published levels in the groundwater samples collected. Total lead was measured above the R2 published level in the groundwater sample collected from MW1. The groundwater sample was subsequently lab-filtered and re-analyzed for dissolved metals to evaluate if the measured concentrations reflected suspended sediment. The measured concentrations of dissolved lead were below laboratory reporting levels, indicating the R2 published level exceedance previously identified in the total lead analysis likely reflected high sample turbidity and not mobile dissolved metals. We believe these laboratory data satisfy IDEM?s initial information request documented in their letter dated May 20, 2024 (VFC Document # 83641764). Based on these results, we anticipate IDEM may require additional assessment in the future.
