Additional Property Attributes

Site consists of 0.07 acres and is a portion of an alley between 405 7th Ave S and 716 S 4th St. It is partially gravel, partially asphalt and by entrance of the alley it is concrete cement. Overhead there are numerous power lines and the city's stormwater and sewer run through the alley area. An abandoned gasoline station sits along the property. The gasoline station reportedly has five 4,000-gallon underground storage tanks that are still in place. The gasoline station has been closed for several years and the IA DNR has ordered that it be permanently closed and the tanks removed. There is no known leaks at this time but given the proximity to the subject property the city plans to conduct additional assessments to determine if there is any contaminant of concern from the site.
