Additional Property Attributes

The real estate consists of 1.397 acres located at the northeastern corner of South East Street and East McKee Street. The Site was initially developed by 1884 with three brick buildings for use as a church, hall, and dwelling. In 1916, an elementary school was constructed and in 1959 an addition was constructed on the back of the school. In the late 1980s, a preschool and conference center was constructed to the east of the school. The former church building is currently being utilized as an event center. The former school and rectory building are currently vacant and were under renovation until asbestos was identified in floor tiles and other building materials. The former school building will be renovated into multi-tenant, one-bedroom unit residential housing with the gym becoming a community activity center. The former rectory building will be renovated for overnight lodging for tourists and the remaining grounds will be converted into community greenspace.
