4/25/2025 Ohio EPA: The City of East Cleveland has applied for TBA services on behalf of Hood Home Development Group, LLC, and is requesting funding to conduct a VAP-compliant Phase I, Lead Based Paint Survey, Asbestos Survey to evaluate the project area which encompassed Cuyahoga County parcels 67207036, 67207037, 67207039, 67206107, 67206108, 67206109, 67206110, 67206111, 67206112, 67206115, 67206116, 67206117, 12013063, 67201041, 67201040, 67201038, 67201037, 67201036, 67201035, 67201033, 67201032. Within the project area, there are 21 adjacent parcels with a combination of vacant commercial lots, apartments, and four homes, according to the Cuyahoga County Database. The property assessment will aid in the development of housing for the community. The Phase I found no RECs or IAs were determined for the Property. The Pre-Demolition Asbestos Survey's found detections of ACM in many of the residences. Every demolition project requires Ohio EPA notification regardless of the type or amount of asbestos present. Ohio EPA notifications must be submitted at least 10 working days prior to planned abatement or demolition.
