Additional Property Attributes

The Site consists of approximately 2.66 acres on one parcel. The Site was historically operated as a petroleum bulk plant by High Point Oil Company from 1944 to 2000. According to historical aerial photos, a gas station with aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) operated on the southwest corner of the Site beginning in the early 1900s and until approximately 1992. The Site has been vacant since the current owner acquired it in 2000. A railroad was historically present adjacent to the Site to the east and active between 1906 and 1992. A bulk plant and gas station historically operated on the Site and used petroleum products. A railroad track was historically present adjacent to the Site to the east; the potential exists that previously undocumented releases and/or spills of hazardous substances including heavy metals, herbicides, and pesticides may have occurred related to railroad operations with the potential to cause contamination that could migrate on to the Site.
