Additional Property Attributes

The former hospital had all the undergroung storage tanks removed, with cleanups and clean closure notices from the MDEQ. The hospital was largely demolished four years ago, with only one clinic remaining. The property was leveled and filled with clean fill. The current owner is presently negotiating with a developer who would like to build low income housing.(PPF - Former Dickinson County Hospital, 12-4-06)

Former Use: The property is five lots formed from the original hospital property. The "new wing" of the hospital which contaned the clinic is still standing; the remainder of the property is open. Some is paved, some dirt. The property was orginially agricultural, then residential, finally the Dickinson County Hospital (DCH). Nothing has been on the property since the new DCH was built. Mssrs Alessindrini purchased the property from the DCH, demolished most of the former hospital, and backfilled the resulting excavation.
