Additional Property Attributes

The property is approximately 50 acres of a larger 210-acre mill site which has remained in an unused state since 1949. The larger property will have approximately 1700 residential units constructed and create approximately 1000 jobs. PPF - Gold Hill Mesa, 10/18/06 The portion of the Foundation Creek was impacted from 1900 to 1950 by tailings from the Golden Cycle Mill. In 2007, a cooperative stream restoration project, including the Gold Mesa developer, the Colorado Department of Transportation and Colorado Springs Stormwater Enterprise was envisioned. Designs were completed in late 2008, and construction began in early 2009. Construction is expected to be complete by mid 2010.

Former Use: Golden Cycle Mill which processed gold ores from Cripple Creek Colorado from 1900-1949. This portion of Fountain Creek was impacted from 1900 to 1950 by tailing from the Golden Cycle Mill, located just to the South.
