Additional Property Attributes

Petroleum Brownfields Property (PPF - Former Sizemores Store, 8/10/06) Former Use: This property was used in the past to operate a general store that sold gasoline. The UST was removed on October 16, 2006 and was disposed of at a landfill along with 4.33 tons of petroleum impacted soils. Of five UST closure soil samples taken during the UST removal, there was one sample with elevated ethylbenzene. WVDEP mobilized to the site again on August 20, 2007 to take additional soil samples in the area of the ethylbenzene exceedance. Soil sample results were all non-detect. I would mark this site as cleanup completed.

Emails between Erin R. Brittain, WVDEP to C. Lesniak, EPA::Hi Chris, I would go with those start/completion dates, too. For costs, I've seen three different numbers. Here they are: $20,448 $8,888 $14,520 I'm not really sure how much were assessment vs. cleanup costs. My best guess is that the first two costs listed are for assessment and the last cost is for cleanup. Hope this helps! Erin R. Thank you for digging into this. Our data coordinator just asked for the start/completion dates and cost, if they are available. Did you see any EPA funded costs for the cleanup? 10/16/2006 appears to be a good start date and 8/20/2007 can be submitted as the completion date if you do not have any dates past that. Thank you!
