Additional Property Attributes

The property will be redeveloped in association with the adjacent 6-acre parcel into a mixed use retail and housing development. The developer is currently soliciting community input on development ideas. (PPF-NE Corner of University & Bay, 2/21/07)

Former Use: The property was part of an orchard during the 1930s and 1940s. The property housed a gasoline service station from at least 1961 through the mid 1970s. The property was acquired by San Mateo County in 1977 as part of a road widening project. The property has been vacant since that time. The City of East Palo Alto acquired the property in fall of 2006. (PPF-NE Corner of University & Bay, 2/21/07)
