Additional Property Attributes

The Land Assemblage Redevelopment Authority (LARA) acquired this property through a tax forclosure sale for the purpose of constructing affordable housing in some of Houston's more distressed neighborhoods. LARA funded the Phase I ESA. (PPF - 2607 Sakowitz Street, 2-7-07) The property will ultimately become a home beautiful affordable home for a family living in a neighborhood that the City of Houston has sparked investment and redevelopment opportunities to create sustainabilty and viability for the overall community. 2607 Sakowitz Street Property has become a part of the Mayor's Initiative Houston Hope Program in conjunction with the Land Assemblage Redevelopment Authority. These two programs have become tools and avenues providinng affordable housing to houston residents. The goal is to keep residents from suburban sprawl and providing housing options that are affordable in the existing urban communities.
