Additional Property Attributes

During the PEA, the property was investigated for metals, organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), paraquat, 1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane (DBCP), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The PEA concluded there were no significant risks to human health or the environmental and recommended No Further Action for the property. In addition, no impacts from off-site were identified. (PPF - Proposed Mendota Junior High School, 6/29/06)

Former Use: The approximate 24-acre property has been vacant since 1990. Prior to 1990, it was used for growing cotton. Several leaking underground storage tank facilities were located adjacent to the property. Remedial activities to address fuel impacted soil and/or groundwater have been conducted at these facilities.
