Contaminants found slightly exceeded relevant standards. VT DEC concurred with report conclusions and recommendations that no corrective action is needed for this site.

Former Use: The property is currently in use as a metered surface parking lot. When the property was acquired by the City of Burlington in 1958, it consisted of three separate properties. According to historical sources, the property at the former 172 St. Paul Street had a residence on it in 1869. This property continued in residential use until purchase by the City of Burlington, which demolished the structure. The property at the former 176 St. Paul Street had a residence built between 1896 and 1900. This structure was also demolished by the City. The property at the former 188 and 188 1/2 St. Paul Street had a residence built between 1896 and 1900, and a three car garage and a boat/auto repair shop built between 1926 and 1942. The boat/auto repair shop had a gasoline tank. The City demolished these structures subsequent to acquisition.
