Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property was developed with various structures throughout the early 1900s, including residences, stables, a warehouse, a steam laundry business (1890-1964), and a welding shop (1946-1968). In 1946 and 1949, two automobile sales and service until approximately 1965. The structure on Parcel D was used for automobile sales and service until the mid-1980s when the property was purchased by the owners of the Clothing Care Company. The structure on Parcel B gained several additions. In 1984, an addition was made to the front of the building and was utilized as a store front and offices. An addition was made to the east side of the building in 1986. The addition was used for loading laundry into vehicles and parking vehicles. An addition to the west side of the building on Parcel B was constructed in 1990. The addition to the west was used for unloading delivery vehicles. In 1996, the structure on Parcels B and D were connected after the alley was closed. This allowed employees to access all the buildings on Parcels B and D without going outside. The building on Parcel C was constructed in 1969. Prior to 1969, it contained a "steam laundry" business. Since 1969, the building has been primarily used for storage, From 200 to 2006 it contained a wastewater treatment system and associated chemicals. Parcel A contained a structure from approximately 1946 to 1989. The structure contained an electric welding business from 1946 until approximately 1968 and then contained various offices. A fire occurred at the subject property in August 2006, and all buildings on the subject property were demolished within the next year, except for the subject building on Parcel C and a collapsed basement of a portion of the former building on Parcel B.
