LVEDC contractor completed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment on this property using a 2005 EPA Assessment Grant. Based on these findings, a portion of the property, buildings #6 and #11 were granted eligibility for use of Petroleum Assessment funds. A Phase II Environmental Site Assessment will be performed on this "sub-site" in the third quarter. PPF - Easton Silk Mill Buildings #6 and #11, 5/20/08. There is one additional area that still petroleum is a REC. This area will be further investigated using state ISRP grant dollars. Remediation at this site did take place on non-petroleum issues. Redevelopment is moving forward.

Former Use: Historic silk mill with eight buildings on this parcel. Buildings 6 and 11 are the engine room and the boiler room. The buildings have not been operated in more than 25 years.
