Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property consists of an approximately 3,200 square foot parcel that contains a former grocery store in the Town of Sumner. The property is being considered for purchase by the Tallahatchie Board of Supervisors to house the Circuit Clerk Office while the Sumner Courthouse is being renovated to its original look during the trial of the KKK for the murder of Emmitt Till. Due to the age of the building, there is a possibility that lead-based paint and/or asbestos containing material may exist.
