Additional Property Attributes

The site was redeveloped as a local police precinct. Recent groundwater investigation has found low levels of benzene in groundwater from the site's historic use as a gasoline station. Prior soil investigation results found some metals and base neutrals in soil that will be addressed through a deed restriction and engineering controls. Groundwater Investigation Supplemental Assessment of 16,130 dollars attributed to Hazardous Substance Funding. Phase II of 12,310 dollars attributed to Petroleum Funding.

Former Use: Site was a gasoline service station from approximately the 1940s through 1980 and has been vacant since the 1980s. The City of Trenton foreclosed on the site on December 29, 1987. Neither the City of Trenton current owner or the prior owner Stephan and Valeria Pocsi [1982-87] are known to have dispensed or disposed of petroleum. The City of Trenton has maintained paved surfaces, thus limiting exposure, disturbance, and potential for additional contamination.
