Additional Property Attributes

A Phase I was completed in June 2007, which found that fill placed on the site may be composed of mine tailings, as well as the presence of possible contamination from asbestos. While soil contamination was suspected, further assessments were recommended to determine the nature and presence of potential contaminants. The Town of Tonopah and the current owner, a private individual, are exploring a possible land exchange to facilitate downtown redevelopment.

Former Use: Property consists of a manufactured home and a three room historic "crib" house. Property is currently unoccupied. Property was purchased from a prior owner in the late 1980's due to previous owner defaulting on loan. The manufactured home was moved to the site between 1954 and 1965.
