Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Site was part of the former stables for the Trenton Horse Railroad circa the 1890s and the Adams Express Co. circa 1908. The site was used as a railway freight depot for the American Railways Co. circa 1927 through the early 1940s. The site also operated as a gas station known as Rook Miles Service Station and Rook Miles Tydol circa 1946, 1948, and 1950. The gasoline station was removed by 1955, and the site was owned by United New Jersey Railroad until 1981, after which it became part of a city cul-de-sac. The railroad may have leased the property for commercial use throughout its ownership. The alleged gas station became public property either in 1981 or 1991, according to ownership records.
