Additional Property Attributes

A 1961 Sanborn Map indicates that the property contained a dry cleaning and machine shop as well as various retail stores. A "solvent tk" or solvent tank, was identified in the 1961 dry cleaner. The Hickory Chair Manufacturing Company is located approximatley 500 ft south and a former gasoline station was located adjacent to the north of the property.

Former Use: According to Hickory, NC tax records, the subject property is currently owned by Dumonde, Inc. The property was developed prior to 1925 as a commercial property. A dry cleaner operated at the property between the late 1940s and the 1960s.
