Additional Property Attributes

Phase I assessment revealed two recognized environmental conditions: unearthed drums in 2005 with unknown contents and past used as a garage due to potential impact from petroleum products and or solvents. Per 4/12/2010 conversation with Betty, City Clerk, there is no redevelopment. Adjacent to City property and City would like to acquire but running into issues over assessment results.

Former Use: Site is currently used as a driveway and parking lot for adjoining US Post Office. Undeveloped prior to 1941. 1941 map shows garage. The City of Warsaw owns the property as of June 9, 2009, after this cooperative agreement closed and City Administrator, Randy Pogue, 660438-5522, indicated on 4/16/2010 that the City just intends to reuse the property as is, as a parking lot. Since the Phase I was finalized 10-2-2007, it appears the City acquired the property without a current Phase I, so the City is not a BFPP and would therefore not be eligible for future brownfields funding for this property, unless a subsequent Phase I is reported to us.
