Additional Property Attributes

The site is identified by the City of Boston as Parcel 1300425000. The site is a rectangular-shaped, vacant undeveloped parcel consisting of 0.075 acres of land. There are no permanent buildings or structures on the site. However, the structure to the north appears to have encroached on to the site. According to historical information, the site was formerly improved with a building of unknown use between 1899 and 1989. The City of Boston foreclosed on the property on May 10, 1990. The general setting surrounding the property is residential use. The Phase I ESA identified two RECs associated with offsite sources of a release from State-listed sites. The ESA recommended a DEP file review to assess the potential impact from offsite sources of oil and/or hazardous material. The ESA also stated that it is likely that the site contains historic fill material, a former building foundation and/or potential building materials. Historic fill may contain a variety of contaminants which should be considered prior to future development. In addition, the ESA stated that the possible encroachment of the abutting building and debris would need to be addressed prior to future land development. Based on reviewed information, no Institutional Controls are required at this time.
