Additional Property Attributes

The Phase I ESA has been used to facilitate a transfer of the site to a local college who intends to use the site for recreational use. This use is consistent with the designation of a portion of the site as a flood ponding area and with the County's plans to complete brownfield corridor planning studies.

Former Use: This site consists of 2 parcels contiguous parcels. The first is approximately 1 acre along w. 3rd st. is flat and is either open or covered with vegetation. The second parcel is approximately 6 acres and is approx. 10 ft lower than the first. The second is designated a flood ponding area on Williamsport flood control maps & is covered with mature vegetation. The site has been owned by the Fagnano family since the 1940's during which time it was used to store construction equipment and since the 1950's used as an auto salvage yard. Prior to the 1940's the site was used as a flour mill and a neon sign manufacturing facility.
