Additional Property Attributes

Either remediation activities to reduce contaminant concentrations to acceptable MDEQ cleanup criteria or Institutional Controls will be needed at this property based on identified contaminants and likely future land use.

Former Use: The property adjoins South Chestnut to the west. The property consists of vacant commercial use land and three structures. Land uses immediately adjoining the property and in the general vicinity of the property are described as commercial and residential usage. The site is developed with three pole barn type buildings with metal skins. The following is a list of the findings of this environmental site assessment: 1. Historical use of subject property included a lumber yard. 2. A diesel UST located on the east side of the main building. 3. Two ground-mounted transformers were located on the west side of subject property. 4. Numerous containers ranging from 1 pint to 2 gallons of oil, paint, gas, solvents and petroleum lubricants located in storage shed east of main building. 5. On-site water well with observed paint residues observed on well casing and floor surrounding the well as documented in historical ESA report. 6. Historical AST located on subject property as documented in historical ESA report. 7. Historical on-site septic system as documented in historical ESA report. 8. Adjoining property to the north included salt storage, UST and vehicle maintenance.
