The YHTA is working to turn the abandoned rail line between Mission and Wilsall, MT into a rails to trails. YHTA received a brownfields grant to perform a Phase I. The Phase I identified asbestos containaing material in the rail bad as a potential hazard.

Former Use: Northern Pacific initiated the rail line in 1909. Became property of Burlington Northern Railroad in 1970. Purchased by Montana Rail Link in 1988.
