Additional Property Attributes

There is PCP in the soil and groundwater above the US EPA Reg.9 PRG and the State of California MCLs. There are also elevated levels of dioxins near the former burner. High levels of PCBs were found near the former box factory where the transformers were located. Elevated levels of diesel and oil were discovered ner the above ground storage tank.

Former Use: The property was first used as a box factory and later as a lumber mill for approximately 85 years by several parties, most recently by Roseburg Forest Products in 1979. The wood preservative PCP was used in a dip tank in the late 1960's. A burner also operated at the site and released dioxins. Transformers were also located on the site ans released PCBs. Both the burner and transformers were located near the former box factory. An 8,000 gallon above ground storage tank wa son the site and spilled petroleum. (PPF- 6/25/07).
