Additional Property Attributes

Property will continue to be used by the Springfield Police Department, the Urban Districts Alliance, and the Commercial Club of Springfield. Tuck pointing of the brick and repair of the front steps was completed on 5-5-09, signifying final completion of the redevelopment. However, per 5-12-2010 email City indicated redevelopment is still not complete putting in LEED elements and waiting on contract completion for white reflective roof and lower green vegetative roof. City will submit new data package when redevelopment completion information is obtained. Also per 5-12-2010 email, subsurface soil and groundwater above residential standards, but NOT above non-residential standards which is current and past use. Indoor testing showed that the air was acceptable, even to residential standards, ant that nothing further would be required on the property. Asbestos RECs were not tested during Phase II because they were in good condition and not recommended unless there was demolition which would disrupt them.

Former Use: Current tenants: Springfield Police Department, Urban Districts Alliance, and Commercial Club of Springfield. Various commercial uses dating back to 1910.
