Additional Property Attributes

Records review, redevelopment data collection, and discussions with the Borough were begun to prepare for a supplemental investigation. NJDEP comments indicated an incomplete prior site investigation by a private entity. No activity occured since the comments. The Borough designated a private redeveloper which contracted Matrix to complete the investigation. Grant funding became unecessary. However, since late 2009, the Borough has needed a new redeveloper. It is unclear if the investigation work was compeleted - there were no new submissions to the NJDEP in 2008-2009.

Former Use: Chet's Service Station has occupied the site since 1991. A.Duwey Pile owner. 3-service-bay gas station type structure occupies a portion of the site. Interesting, large 3D pink wrench signage structure typical of 1950s roadside advertising remains also.
