Additional Property Attributes

Properties have operated as a bus company, bus storage and repair for many years. As a history of transportation-related purposes dates back to use as a stage coach depot. A Phase I EA was completed in 2009 and a Focused SI completed in April 2010. Past storage of dry cleaning chemicals was the source of most contamination. Reports were sent to the owner, Borough, Local and County Health Depts. and Borough Public Library. Remedial action is required in 2010 as per new NJ regulations. The Borough is seeking a redeveloper to develop a block long multi-property redevelopment area into a mixed residential-commerical use.

Former Use: See above also. The site is currently occupied by a bus repair garage - storage facility. The site also has housed vehicles and material for distributing dry-cleaning chemicals which is the main source of contamination.
