Additional Property Attributes

Former 840 acre paper plant. Plan to use the 20 land acres in production of clean bio-diesel, using sewer and resturant greases as feedstocks. Property also includes about 820 acres of ponds used in paper production and by sugar mill that previously occupied the site. Ponds are under LDEQ monitoring.

Former Use: Former sugar mill property which was converted to paper plant. Paper plant closed due to high salinity of Bayou Lafourche, which affected quality control in paper production.
