The project was able to investigate and previously unassessed former scrap/junkyard location near downtown Millington. The project was ale to assist in planning for future redevelopment of the property and leveraged approximately 10,000 in private capital investment

Former Use: The subject property consists of three buildings a residence, former office building and detached garage. The exterior of the subject property is improved with gravel and landscaped areas. Non-structural improvements at the subject property are limited to landscaping grass and a gravel driveway. In addition, a pond is located on the western portion of the subject property. The subject property contained vacant land from at least 1941 until c.1955 when a residence and an office building were constructed on the subject property. From c.1955 until approximately 1970 a salvage yard was operated on the subject property. Notable occupants of the salvage yard include Smallwood Auto Parts 1967 and Dave�s Auto Parts 1970. Dave�s Auto Parts offered wrecking service to new and used automobiles and welding and torch work. Between 1970 and 2000 various commercial businesses occupied the former office building including, the Millington Heritage Newspaper, a real estate office, and an archery shop. Between 1981 and 1992 a pond was developed on the western portion of the subject property. In addition, in the late 1990s a detached garage was constructed on the eastern portion of the subject property. Mr. Patrick Wood and his family have occupied the subject property since 2000 for residential purposes.
