Additional Property Attributes

2594 Main Street is a commercial property with a building that has approx. 9,500 square feet. This property is currently owned by the New North Housing initiative and he City of Springfield assisted them by doing environmental site assessments of the property. The New North Housing Initiative is now using the building and working on renovations.

Former Use: The Site is occupied by a single-story wood-d brick building with a flat roof. The western half of the Site building is currently vacant, and the eastern half of the building is currently utilized as office space for a drop-in center for drug rehabilitation. The footprint of the Site building is approximately 3,820 square feet, and the remainder of the 0.69 acre parcel is occupied by a parking lot and a small vegetated area in the southwestern portion of the Site. The Site has been developed since approximately 1922, at which time the current Site building was constructed. The Site was historically used as an automobile dealership and vehicle repair facility.
