Additional Property Attributes

The site is located at 7250 Bellfort Street in Houston, Texas. The site is a partially developed 27-acre tract of land. The site contains a former lodge, two large sheds, multiple animal pens and vacant mobile homes. The City of Houston Brownfields Program performed a Phase I ESA on the site in April 2007. Based on a review of the historical information, the site consisted of vacant, agricultural land from the early 1920s. A portion of the site was leased by the American Legion from the mid-1970s until the early 2000s. A&B Soil has leased a portion of the site from the mid-1970s through the present-day. The surrounding properties consisted of vacant, undeveloped land since the early 1920s until commercial and residential development began in the mid-1960s and has continued through the present-day. Bellfort Paint & Body and SE Automotive Electronic Rebuilders were identified to the west of the site. The Bellfort Paint & Body facility was no longer in operation at the time of the site reconnaissance, however, based on a review of the city directories, the Bellfort Paint & Body facility operated at this location for at least 15 years. SE Automotive Electronic Rebuilders or other similar facilities have been at this location for at least 17 years. Based on their duration, operations and proximity to the site, Bellfort Paint & Body and SE Automotive Electronic Rebuilders appear to present RECs to the site. The regulatory database review identified one TCEQ PST facility. Joy Boys Food Mart, located 190 feet west of the site in an apparent topographic up-gradient. A Phase II ESA was reccommended and performed. See the report findings in the Data Documentation Section.
