Additional Property Attributes

On November 4, the citizens of Maryland voted to allow the placement of slot machines at five sites in the State. One of the sites will be in Baltimore, and this property is slated to house the Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) Development for Baltimore City. The site will feature a maximum of 3,750 video lottery terminals with beverage support and a retail component. The "Lot J" site will be a part of the large redevelopment of Baltimore's Carroll Camden Urban Renewal area. The slot machine project will have several components, and this property is one of them. Plans now (July 2009) are to have the site serve as parking and flex space with perhaps some retail options. Cleanup activities are due to commence by the beginning of 2010.

Former Use: The property is located in the heart of an area that has had a series of heavy industrial uses. The previous owner of the site was the owner a chemical company.
