Property Highlights

Asbestos and lead were identified in the Site's building materials, not in the soil or groundwater.

Former Use: One of two parcels and the buildings thereon which are remnants of the former Berkshire Cotton Mills complex c. 1870s. Petroleum contamination was discovered approximately four years ago on an adjoining property that was part of the original mill complex when it was being developed as the Adams Visitors Center. The buildings have been used more recently for warehousing and retail uses Waverly fabric outlet.
