Additional Property Attributes

Tsewhitsen was the site of an ancient Native American Village and burial grounds. In the 1900s a number of industrial activities took place on the site. The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe requested the EPA conduct a TBA. The TBA results indicated only very low levels of contamination present, so no clean up was necessary. The Tribe has now returned the remains of their ancestors to this cemetery and it will remain a place of cultural significance to the Tribe.

Former Use: Historically used for industrial wood product activities then acquired by WSDOT. LEKT now owns the property.
