Additional Property Attributes

Part of the Site was acquired by Froling Energy, a biomass supplier, which opened up in 2021 creating 11 jobs and has potential for expansion. The Site was acquired by the City of Keene in 1876 and consists of a 30.52 acre parcel located at 560 Main Street in Keene, NH. Since that time it has primarily been used for Public Works functions, a materials storage and and handling area, and open burning solid waste disposal site, and the site of the City's incinerator in the 1950's, and a site for liquid materials disposal in the 1960's and 1970's. As a result, ash and other debris from the solid waste disposal operations is scattered across the Site, in some places up to 10 ft deep.
