Additional Property Attributes

RECs include historic fill, lead detected during the Jersey City DOH lead paint investigation, and potential contamination from welding company, Warol Confectionery Store, and a 250-gallon UST associated with 14 Kearny Avenue. A community garden has been developed at the site.

Former Use: Vacant lot surrounded by a strip mall to the west and residences, supermarket and churches to the north, east, and south. The strip mall contains a bank, supermarket, shoe store, dollar store, beauty supply store, police station and Laundromat/dry cleaner. The lot is not fenced and contains grass, gravel, and litter. Past uses of the property include residences, storefronts, storage garage, welding company, and the Warol Confectionery Store.
