Additional Property Attributes

Large 4-story brick main building, older construction 2-story addition, newer construction 1-story small building. The site is listed as a LUST/UST site, but a "No Further Action" letter was not reported by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). A vent pipe potentially associated with an unknown UST was observed on the property. Due to the lack of information concerning the former UST and this potential UST, these conditions represent Recognized Environmental Conditions to the property and further assessment will be required. Chemical staining was observed in the mechanical room and will require further investigation. A firing range with an accumulation of lead pellets was present in the main level of the structure interior; this condition will require assessment and abatement per MDNR requirements. Quantities of industrial grade cleaning supplies and latex paint were observed throughout the building interior. Several areas of the property were not evaluated due to no access; these areas are considered data gaps and will need to be evaluated.

Former Use: Formerly Westport High School, the Site is developed with three structures with a parking lot structure, a detached parking lot, a running track, and a football field. The structures are currently vacant. The building is a large, 4-story brick and cobblestone main building with a 2-story addition and a 1-story building. The property has been utilized as a school from 1925 until 2010.
