Additional Property Attributes

This property is owned by the City of Ronceverte. It is the City's intent to apply for cleanup funding to abate the asbestos-containing materials in the site building and then redevelop the property into mixed commercial and possibly residential use. It is unclear whether the City would also enter the site into the state's voluntary remediation program and address the contamination in the site soils PAHs, lead but will be encouraged to enter the program.

Former Use: The property was developed in the 1920s and has been used as a grocery wholesale distribution center Lewis Hubbard & Company, Covington Grocery and Lewisburg Wholesale, as a furniture finishing/refinishing business Watts Manufacturing, and as a warehouse for misc. materials. The property is currently owned by the City of Ronceverte.
