Additional Property Attributes

Based on a Phase I ESA completed in 2012, REC's have been identified associated with historical land use (portion of site used for dry cleaning/laundry), as well as adjacent historical land uses (auto repair, metal shop and foundry). Asbestos-containing materials were identified with the structure which will need to be addressed as part of the planned renovation. Additional assessment has been recommended to determine if impacts to soil and/or groundwater exist.

Former Use: The site's historical use as the Olympia Theater (built in 1916) is well-known. Uses since the theater closed in the first half of the 1900's include retail shops, warehouse, dry cleaning/laundry; and a recent renovation as a children's theater. The south half of the property (currently used as a parking area) was historically developed for commercial land uses.
