Additional Property Attributes

A Phase I ESA completed in January 2013 revealed no signficant RECs associated with the subject site that would warrant additional environmental investigation. However, a lead-based paint survey revealed a considerable amount of lead-based paint on various surfaces throughout the site. The results of the LBP survey are recommended to be provided to those associated with the planned renovations so that proper care can be taken during paint removal.

Former Use: Property is currently used and owned by the Miakka Community Center. However, the structure is registered with the National Register of Historic Places, as the community center is a historical school house built in 1914. The community center has worked to maintain its historic signficance; including the planned renovations.
