Additional Property Attributes

Based on the information reviewed for the Site, WESTON has identified the following soil contaminants of concern (COCs): Volatile organic compounds (VOC): due to potential for releases of fuels, oils, lubricating fluids, and refrigerants, potential for historic use of degreasers, and the Phase I observation of unmarked containers. Semivolatile organic compounds (SVOC): due to potential for releases of fuels, oils, and lubricating fluids and the Phase I observation of unmarked containers. Total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH), gasoline-range organics (GRO) and dieselrange organics (DRO): due to potential for releases of fuels, oils, and lubricating fluids, and the Phase I observations of petroleum staining at the ground surface and unmarked containers. Target Analyte List (TAL) Metals: due to filling station history and use of leaded gasoline, potential for releases from lead-acid batteries, potential for previous mishandling of mercury-containing devices in automobiles, and the observation of slag at the ground surface as reported in the Phase I. Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs): due to the Phase I observation of petroleum staining at the ground surface, presence of unmarked containers, and use of Site as a junk yard. The Phase I ESA report indicated a potential for asbestos-containing materials (ACM) to be present in the demolition debris rubble on the Site. The Phase I ESA report also indicated that automobile brake pads, which may contain asbestos, were likely dismantled from vehicles on the Site.
