The State Capital Publishing building was built in 1902 and was used as a printing plant from 1902 to 1968. The building is currently a museum. Lead bricks were melted down in the building to create type face for old fashioned printing presses. The type face was then melted back down and turned into bricks for making more type face. Solvents were used in the printing process.
