Additional Property Attributes

The Wolf Township Municipal Building Site, encompassing approximately 20,000 square feet, is located on the northeast corner of the Route 405 Highway and Boak Avenue intersection, less than a mile south of downtown Hughesville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The address of the subject property is 695 Route 405 Highway. The latitude and longitude coordinates for the the approximate center of the Site are 41.231439 degrees north and 76.733586 degrees west, respectively. The Site is bounded on the north by a residential property, on the west by the Route 405 Highway, to the south by Boak Avenue, and to the east by an alley which separtes the Site from an additional garage building owned by the Township and residential properties. The subject Site currently contains two separate structures. The first structure, which faces Route 405 Highway, is a 2,814 squire foot building that is currently utilized as the Townhip's Municipal Office Building. The Office Building is primarily composed of two administrative office rooms, two restroom facilities, a large meeting room, and a combined garage/storage space. It is not specifically known when the Office Building was first constructed; however, information obtained through available records and interviews indicate that the original Office Building structure was constructed in the mid-1950s, with subsequent renovation/additions following the early 1970s and eary 1990s. The Office Building is heated by a steam boiler which is fueled by heating oil stored in a 275-gallon AST. The heating oil AST is located inside the garage/storage space.

Former Use: The only known prior usage of the subject Site was a retail fueling station and automobile repair garage while under the ownership of the Atlantic Richfield Company from 1953 to 1971, As previously stated, it is not specifically known when the Site was first developed; however available records (including historic aerial photos) and interviews indicate that the Site was first developed in the mid-1950s by Atlantic Richfield. Records indicate that the original Site structure was a 1,694-square foot concrete block building with two overhead doors on the western side of the building facing Route 405 Highway that were used as automobile service bays. The specific location(s) of any previous UST system(s) is also not specifically known. Information obtained from interviews and historical photographs indicate that the product dispersers may have been located on the western side of the building between the building and Route 405 Highway. The location of the former UST tank field could not be determined based on available information
