Additional Property Attributes

The Phase I and II were performed under the U.S. EPA's Targeted Brownfield Assessment program under the START contract TDD No. 0003/S05-0003-1707-002. The property is part of the City of Chicago Industrial Growth Zones, a new initiative designed to accelerate growth and development in Chicago's industrial sectors and bring jobs to the local residents and community.

Former Use: The site was developed as a parking lot sometime before 1951, and has been used as a parking lot or has been vacant. A spill of toluene had previously occurred in the street near the property and illegally dumped debris has been found on the property. Due to the industrial use of the adjacent properties, the site has the potential for environmental impact.
