This site is being assessed through the USEPA Targeted Brownfields Assessment program and the START contract technical direction document 0003/S05-0003-1707-201. The site is currently owned by the St. Johns Public Schools was used as the St. Johns Middle School until 1997. The property is planned to be redeveloped as a multi-use facility to include residential, commercial and recreational uses.

Former Use: The property is owned by the St. Johns Public Schools and is used for various educational programming. The property was used as the St. Johns Middle School until 1997 when a new facility was constructed as part of a larger campus expansion. The property is planned to be redeveloped into a multi-use facility that would include residential, commercial, and recreational uses. Based on the findings of a Phase II ESA, the site meets the definition of a Facility, thus a Due Care Plan is required. Asbestos containing materials, lead-based paint and regulated building materials were identified on the property.
