Additional Property Attributes

The Village of Middleport requested a Phase 1 ESA. BUSTR records indicate the USTs were removed in 1993 and a release was documented. Cleanup funds will be requested from the state Abandoned Gas Station program. Former Use: First commercial use of the Property in approximately 1924, when the Property was developed with a filling station (gas station). Gas station operations continued through 1938 and closed prior to 1960. The property was held under both corporate and private ownership since 1936. The current owners received the property in 2005 and maintain a restaurant part-time. After Phase 2 assessment the tanks were pulled. During closure sampling ground water impacts were found above action levels. According to BUSTR a Tier 1 investigation should be conducted.
