Former Use: Former service station. The future reuse plan is a brewery and business incubator/accelerator. On July 20 through 30, 2020, the environmental consultant oversaw the removal of the former fuel system at the 1216 W. Pine Street property, which included three 3,000-gallon USTs, one 6,000-gallon UST, four fuel dispensers, and associated underground fuel lines. Asbestos Containing Materials were determined to be present in approximately 1,800 square feet of roof paper and tar collected from the roof of the former service station building. Lead based paint was determined to be present on painted exterior walls (approximately 2,000 square feet) and on interior walls (approximately 1,000 square feet) in the former women's restroom facility. The environmental consultant also indicated that other similarly painted surfaces may contain a layer of lead based paint beneath the current surface layer.
