Additional Property Attributes

The 640-acre property is currently vacant. The property is located adjacent to the coal-fired Escalante Generating Station power plant, McKinley Paper Company paper plant, and other historic mining operations. A railroad spur runs north-south bisecting the property. The property appears to have been vacant for many years; however, it is in an area currently used by the coal mining industry and historically used by the uranium mining industry. These industries may have impacted the property. Northwest New Mexico Council of Governments (NWNMCOG) is pursuing a commercial lease with the State Land Office to create an industrial park on the property.
